1 April 2007: LotR - Lady of the Rhine, Quest of the Enchanted Ring

Sunday 1 April 2007
:: Bradford, England; Skipton, England - Yorkshire::

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful woman named Vanessa, Lady of the Rhine - who was the envy of all of the ladies in the village of Dusseldorf, along the Rhine river in Germany. One of the local enchantresses who envied Vanessa, had one day found a meeting with her, admired her ring, and cast a intoxicating spell of wickedness on this ring, that could now, never be removed. It changed the Lady of the Rhine's life drastically and she saught after a cure for this enchantment. She summoned two of her beloved knights : Sir Ingo the Great of Koln, a mighty knight of the Rhine River; and Sir Thomas Leaf of Colorado, a foreigner of the Nacerima, well known cartographer, trekker, and adventurer. Upon Sir Thomas Leaf's arrival on the Jet Dragon Air Berlin, a day of coordination and rest, they met Sir Ingo at the train station, and boarded the Air Dragon Jet2 for the lands of England, where they were to seek guidance from the Faerie Queen of Janet Foss to find the spell that would remove the wicked enchantment from the ring.

The brave adventurers

Upon their arrival in the town of Bradford, they were welcomed by Susan, Queen of Bradford and her faithful jester, Sir Robin the Fool. They were welcomed into the Lady of the Rhine's mum's cottage "Jenden" for a night and a day of rest and recovery before they would set out to Skipton Castle the following day to retrieve some information from the castle ... There was supposed to be a parchment at the castle that would tell them how to enter the Faerie Queen's cave to address her presence. They unfortunately did not find this parchment, so they continued on their trekk to see the Queen without it. That evening, a royal dinner was prepared for them at Ring O' Bells as they dined on traditional Yorkshire fare. On the morning of April 1st, Queen Susan and Sir Robin the Fool took them in their carriage and dropped them off in the village of Gargrave to start off on the Pennine Way to seek the Faerie Queen outside of Malham at Janet Foss.
